Gestern lief der letzte Starttag des Main Events der EPT Malta. Es kamen nochmal 326 Spieler an die Tische, insgesamt gibt es bei dem Turnier nun 459 Teilnehmer. Am Ende vom Tag blieben 162 übrig, die heute mit den Überlebenden von Tag 1A zusammengelegt werden. Overall-Chipleader ist jetzt der Ungar Andras Nemeth mit 192.700 Chips.

Wer ist gut dabei?
Der endgültige Preispool steht hier noch nicht fest, bis zum Beginn des heutigen Tag 2 kann man sich nämlich noch in die Veranstaltung einkaufen. Letztes Jahr waren es jedenfalls 651 Spieler und gewonnen hat der Schotte Niall Farrell für 534.300 Euro.
Sehr gut durch den Tag kam gestern auch der Österreicher Armin Mette, der sich auf Platz 2 des Chipcounts mit 183.700 Chips spielen konnte.
Auch Isi Bojang, Roberto Romanello, Benny Spindler, Dietrich Fast, George Danzer, Gaelle Baumann, Maria Ho, David Yan, Stefan Jedlicka, Alexander Debus, Felix Schlott und Anton Morgenstern sind mehr oder weniger gut platziert und werden am heutigen Tag 2 Stehvermögen beweisen müssen.
Wer ist schon raus?
Ein Vorfall am Flughafen von Malta sorgte dafür, dass Spieler wie zum Beispiel George Danzer und Jake Cody erst zu Beginn von Level 7 ankamen. Cody schied schnell aus, Danzer ist – wie oben erwähnt – noch dabei.
Rausgeflogen sind gestern unter anderem Andreas Hoivold, Julian Track, Jan Bendick, Niall Farrell und Sebastian Malec.
Heute geht es schon ab 12:00 Uhr weiter, es wird der wichtige Tag 2 gespielt, an dem erfahrungsgemäß kräftig gesiebt wird. Die Blinds sind bei 500/1.000 plus 100 Ante angekommen.
